Aerostat is the membership magazine of the British Balloon and Airship Club. I am the Editorial Assistant for this bi-monthly publication, but have also written articles for inclusion.
The three articles shown here were written as a series, for successive editions of the magazine, focussed on ‘special shape’ balloons. I researched and wrote them entirely from scratch – I’m not a balloonist – and sourced the images myself, in close collaboration with the Editor, Richard Wiles.
Working on these articles was a very steep learning curve, but an immensely satisfying experience! You can read them all in full by clicking on the images on the right.
