Site activity data
Whenever you visit www.taniataylor.co.uk certain information is collected and logged by the we server. This information is kept for a reasonable amount of time for purposes of traffic analysis. These logs include, but are not restricted to: your computer’s TCP/IP address, date, time and files vieId. These logs also contain information about referrer information if you clicked on an external link in order to view any www.taniataylor.co.uk wepage. Any information collected is never sold or shared with third parties.

Personal information
The only personal information about you that is collected, such as your name, address, email address, or telephone number is that which you voluntarily provide to me. Examples of this information includes your email address sent directly to me via a contact email link.

I do not sell any personal information received through our website or through direct correspondence to any third party, nor will such information by added to any bulk email list I may send out in the future.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Email
I collect your name and email address when you initially contact me by email. No personal information supplied via our subsequent email correspondence will be used for marketing purposes by me unless you consent to this, nor will this information be supplied to any third party.

Cookies
A ‘cookie’ is a small file saved on your PC’s hard drive by websites. This website uses cookies.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me.

Where I send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information
Please contact me at any time to request the removal of any other personal information that may be held by me. All email correspondence between me will be then be deleted, your name, address and email address removed from any Tania Taylor mailing list you may be on, and any paper correspondence you may have had with me will be destroyed. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

I take data privacy seriously. All personal data supplied to me is stored on a password-protected PC or, when information is supplied in printed form, kept in a locked filing cabinet.
